David Crowder Band and New York City!

Weekend day trip to New York City. David Crowder standing concert. 4.5 hours of pure awesome. Legs have never been so exhausted in my life. Here are some the super cool David Crowder. Ok i admit i pilfered these pictures from a friend's facebook, but i'm giving credit to him! My pictures were just so lousy, well because i am really short and i was standing in the crowd, whereas my friend was in the balcony.

All in all the concert was great. David Crowder sounds exactly the same live which is always a plus. Although I can't really say that this concert was much of a worship concert. I think people were mostly moved by his powerful voice and flashing lights and rad music. But nevertheless, it was a great experience and it is really awesome to see some with so much God-given talent use it for His glory.

although i'm kind of sad that the band is disbanding after this last tour. That's what marriage and children do to you i guess..

So fly

David Crowder's super fan Jason (i think?) He's been to over 40 DCB concerts!!!!!! what!!! crazy.

This guy is so cool, i mean look at him.
Irvin Plaza venue. so crowded.

The lighting was kind of crazy. so many strobe lights and disco balls o.o although you can't see in this picture.
Jon McMillan opened. I'm not sure i'm a huge fan of his twangy rough voice. but according to David Crowder "that man can write songs"
but i am a huge fan of Gungor! third opener. This was so sick because the cello player was simultaneously BEAT BOXING.

:O

Chris August. Check him out! He's really talented too! and his voice is amazing too! Ok the thing about the opening set, was that there were three groups in the opening. the opening was like 1.5 hours! David Crowder didn't come out until everybody else did there things. That was kind of annoying actually because I really wanted to hear DCB not all the other people. One girl actually had to go home before David Crowder even came out on stage because the opening set was SO LONG. she missed the best part! well i guess that what you should expect when you go to a concert . especially one that is 4.5 hours long.
Close up: This was a picture i took, as you can see. not so good. but you can see David Crowder's face at least. David Crowder is a pretty cool guy, even if he happened to dress like an indie trucker at the concert. Seriously not digging the baseball cap + nerd glasses + plaid shirt + skinny jeans combo. The beard doesn't help either. lol
Michael Gungor close up! If you don't know him, look up the song "Beautiful things" This is like the epitome of  "indie christian" music. haha i love it.

Afterwards, as in the next day, we took a side trip to Redeemer Presbyterian Church in  NYC and then headed out to eat and wander around the city.
The best Belgian fries ever. From a place called Pomme Frite in the lovely New York City of course. Its like tiny  french fry shack, that sells only thick fries and sauces. So many sauce options!

We of course chose Mango Chutney Mayo, which you can't really see in the picture, but it was delicious! and greasy and oh-so-good!
Crepeaway "Obama" Crepe. It wasn't mine, but you don't have to eat it to enjoy it :)
